Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE)

Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE), a nonprofit organization, works with students in the Yonkers pubic high schools to ensure they are ready for, apply for, enroll in, and complete college.

YPIE believes that post-secondary success is key to creating meaningful and lasting improvements in the quality of life for our students and the communities where they live. Readiness for, access to, and persistence in college are essential to escape the cycle of poverty.

Why Now?

Only 11% of low-income first-generation students graduate from college nationwide

Approximately 60% of all jobs (compared to 28% in 1973) require some form of post-secondary education
