Scenic Hudson

Scenic Hudson preserves land and creates parks that connect people with the Hudson River, while fighting threats to the river and the valley’s all-important natural resources.  We have a long track record of transforming Westchester’s riverfronts and improving quality of life, vibrancy, community health and scenic beauty.

Funding from the Thursday Club will help provide the engineering study needed to close the last significant north-south gap in the River Walk trail in the Irvington-Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow area.  This would ensure that kids, families and commuters can walk or bike to the new Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge and explore the area’s riverfronts, businesses and historic sites, including Sunnyside, Lyndhurst, and Philipsburg Manor.  This project is essential for providing seamless access to the Hudson Riverfront and the villages along it.

Ultimately benefiting thousands of residents daily, these connections will make our communities wonderful places to live, work, and play for generations to come.
